General Installation Guide:

For Clevo Models, please check the user's manual in the driver's CD that comes with the laptop. You can find the sufficient information in the "Upgrading the Computer" chapter. The only thing missing is the CPU installation. You can check the procedure below if you are not familiar with it. Please note that this is for general purpose only, not specifically for a certain model. If you have any question please contact us at info@rjtech.com or call us at (909)3969140.

CPU Installation:

1. Find out the CPU location, you can check your user's manual and locate the CPU socket.

2. Insert the CPU (Image A) , pay careful attention to the pin alignment, it will fit only one way (DO NOT FORCE IT!), and turn the CPU release latch to the lock position, make sure you turn it all the way to the parallel position, like Image B.

3. Remove any sticker on the heatsink, make sure the heat paste is exposed and contact the chip when you install it. Certain models come with liquid heat paste tube, just apply the heat paste on top of the cpu before installing the heatsink.

4. Tighten the heatsink screws in the order indicated on the heatsink to finish the CPU installation.

*The desktop CPU installation is a little bit different than the mobile CPU.

Memory Installation:

  1. Find out the memory location, you can check your user's manual and locate the memory socket.
  2. Insert a new module holding it at about a 30° angle and fit the connectors firmly into the memory slot. The module will only fit one way as defined by its pin alignment. Make sure the module is seated as far into the slot as it will go, the golden contact part should be nearly invisible. DO NOT FORCE IT; it should fit without much pressure. Press the module in and down towards the mainboard until the slot levers click into place to secure the module.

Hard Drive Intstallation:

The hard drive installations are varied by models, please check the user's manual in the driver's CD that comes with the laptop.

Wireless Card  Installation:

  1. Find out the wireless card socket location, you can check your user's manual and locate the position.
  2. Carefully connect the antenna wires as numbered.
