Q: Can I use all 4GB/8GB if I install 2 pcs 2GB/4GB memory module in my notebook?

A: To support 4GB or more memory, you need to have Vista 64-bit OS. However, due to the Intel 965 chipset limitation, the maximum memory can be used is 6.8GB. The 32bit OS only supports up to 3GB memory. For chipset order than 965 notebook, due to chipset resource allocation, system memory can only use up to 2.8GB memory no matter it is 32bit or 64bit OS. AMD based notebook might not have this limitation, please check it's memory specs sheet.
